Well, what can I say?
I'm back.and I am alive and well.
After almost two months, a long series of arguments over more or less "Small things," wasting a few months trying to dig myself out of a mountain of homework, moving 30 miles to my new home, trying out various new programs, fixing my computer after a particularly bad crash, I’m back online again.
The growing and ever expanding list of updates:
- Broken links - First things first: I have heard from various individuals that the links to several downloads have broken. I will have to fix them soon.
- New bug entry - It would help if everyone posts broken links as comments to this entry from now on. I will fix each link, and delete the comments after. This entry will also contain a master list of broken links and other bugs, to be fixed . (The list never seems to end, for some odd reason.)
- Site work - I’m also looking for users who are good at art to do a new header image for me. This one with InuYasha holding his sword is a bit worn out after two years of use. If you would like to contribute any images, feel free to email them to me.
- New sections – As of November 10, 2007, there will be new sections grafted onto the main site.
- Warez - I realized that you can’t live as an anime okatu without some pirated software. Although this section was originally started for anime, my hope for it is that it will expand until it covers not just anime and manga.
- Torrents are coming - The torrenting section will have to wait, as I am still trying to find a good way to keep torrents that are alive forever without wasting too much of my precious upload bandwidth. Those who want a head start to torrenting files can head over to Demonoid and sign up for an account. If you need an invite code, kindly email me and wait your turn. You might also want to sign up for ThePirateBay and SuperTorrents as well.
- RANT - Demonoid is still offline in Canada due to the absurd attempt the CIRA made to remove them from the torrenting world. I heard that Demonoid is still accessible in the US and other countries, though. They took down OiNK, too. How could they???? If you can’t live without OiNK, sign up for STmusic, and also for BOiNK as soon as it is available. They’ll have a harder time taking off BOiNK, which makes me happy :-)
Stay tuned for more!
(As a side note, I suspect that Telus throttles bandwidth intensive programs such as various BitTorrent clients and large games. Can anyone confirm this hunch or mine?)
